  A perfect fit! We couldn’t be happier with the Montessori School of Wausau – the people, place and purpose. The caring people at Montessori have high expectations for behavior, respect for all, and adherence to rules – yet they fully appreciate and encourage silliness and all that makes young children delightful. Students are greeted daily by name and Snickers the guinea pig is friend to all, especially those with carrots in their lunches. The place is a cozy school setting in a convenient location nestled in an established neighborhood. It has a fantastic playground including a garden in the summer. The whole building is kid-sized – their size and their turf! The purpose is so much more than day care. Kids have opportunities for independent discovery/play, summer theme weeks, opportunities for gymnastics and creative movement. There are teacher conferences to get a sense of progress and specific Dad’s and Mom’s nights for kids to show off their school one-on-one. Our daughter, now in 3rd grade, loved the school, and our son who currently attends, looks forward to going each day. The Montessori School of Wausau is a perfect fit for us.

  Finally, a preschool program that we love as much as our kids do. Finding just the right blend of cost, care, education and communication has been a challenge for us, and with our second child we finally found the PERFECT environment at Montessori School of Wausau. Our daughter loves the over-sized and up-to-date playground, and the large light-filled classrooms are a perfect fit for their hybrid Montessori program. That's another thing we love, the program has been around a while, some of the parents even used to be students here! The folks running the program have seen it all, and have adapted their program over the years to stay current and focused on what's best for kids. They use the best parts of Montessori, but they make it better with years of knowing what works in practice, not just theory. I could go on about how well our daughter is progressing, how her language and math are being used every day at school and now at home too...how she picks up after herself at school and has us doing it at home too...but that's missing the best part. The best part of Montessori School of Wausau is the people, and the love that they bring to every kid and every day. It shows in our daughter, she loves to go to school every day, and what could be better than that?
